If I had to make a list of my favorite records, Bayou Country would definitely be in it. In 2019 it celebrates its 50 anniversary and here’s my tribute to it. This sinister, moody, and repetitious blues in the style of his beloved Howlin' Wolf is another track through which John Fogerty established the swamp rock sound.
